what our assembly believes
- We believe and accept the entire Bible as the infallible and inspired Word of God. The Bible includes the only perfect order of our faith and way of life to which nothing can be added or taken away. (II Peter 1:21; II Timothy 3:16-17; Romans 1:16; Revelation 22:18-19)
- We believe that regeneration is received only through faith in Jesus Christ, who was raised from the dead. For this reason we baptize by immersion in water in the name of Jesus Christ. (Romans 3:24; II Corinthians 5:17; I Corinthians 1:30)
- We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. (Acts 2:4)
- We believe in commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ (Communion) according to Luke 22:19-20 and I Corinthians 11:23-26.
- We believe that provision is made in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ for the healing of the body. Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil are taught in the Bible and are privileges for the church in this present age. (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16-18; John 5:14; James 5:14)
- We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is God. He assumed a human body through a virgin called Mary to be both divine and human. (John 1:1-14; I Timothy 3:16)
- We believe in the personal bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ for his Church. (Acts 1:11; I Thessalonians 4:16; I Corinthians 15:51-54)
what it means to have a holistic approach
We believe that the abundant life that Jesus promised is not exclusive to our spiritual redemption; we believe that abundant life extends into our body and soul. Therefore we promote mental, emotional and physical wellness, financial stewardship, and other areas of our life.
When we as believers are living an abundant life, others can see our 'works and glorify our Father in heaven.' (Matt. 5:16)
